fall meditation

I wrote it down,

but on the air,

I gasped and watched it go.

I left it there,

upon the air,

to hit another so.

And then a leaf

I slipped on said

its thanks for what I'd done.

I hurried on,

the leaf now gone,

with miles more to run.
